Why Andy Cohen Calls Scheana and Lala's Issues with Ariana "Interesting"

After watching the fourth wall-shattering Vanderpump Rules Season 11 finale (and hosting the forthcoming three-part reunion), Andy Cohen has an "interesting" take on the drama between Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, and Lala Kent. 

During a broadcast of Radio Andy on May 8, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host shared why he thinks the drama between Lala, Scheana, and Ariana is nuanced. 

"The best kind of issues or arguments or whatever on these shows are when everybody is a little bit right," he said. "And this seems to be one where everybody is right."

On the Season 11 finale, Lala and Scheana criticized Ariana for not wanting to interact with her ex, Tom Sandoval, during the season. Ariana, who left the finale party early once her ex approached her, has been using the "gray rocking" healing method (to not acknowledge the other person) to move on. 

"Look, it was also interesting that — I thought Scheana and Lala's reactions were really interesting — because Scheana, who's been the ride or die for Ariana, she was not ride or die there in that last moment," Andy continued. "She was making points."

When the cast got together to film the reunion, they watched the last few minutes of the Season 11 finale together for the first time. Andy spoke about the "impact" of that moment during his Radio Andy broadcast. 

"I guess you figured it out if you've seen the Vanderpump Rules [reunion] trailer, none of them saw that episode. We showed it all to them at the reunion, and that inspired a very emotional reaction and debate and I think everyone seeing it together really shifted the platelets in that universe," he said. "Because it was almost like they were seeing — I don't know if some of those people thought that what aired would air, and that we would bust open the fourth wall in such an intense way."

As a result, Andy thinks that watching those last few moments as a group altered the dynamic. 

"I love that the producers framed it that way, I thought it was really interesting," he concluded. "They kind of turned the show inside out."
