What has changed since your season?: “I don't think anything significant has really changed with me personally and professionally that would matter to the general public. Many of the changes are structural and internal. That's so boring, huh? I have, however, stepped it up with our Cookie Collection, a line of petite sweet and savory cookies. I also see some of our wares at a small farmers market in Mount Rainier, MD. I'm hoping to get the soups and sauces out by the end of the year.”

What was your favorite challenge? "The Le Bernardin Challenge (partly because I got to eat there ... five wonderful dishes, and partly because I love Eric Ripert's simple, but complex approach to food.)”

What has changed since your season?: “I now live with Sara Nguyen, also from Season 3. She is Sous Chef at Sprout. Personally and professionally, my life has gotten exponentially better in the past few months since Sprout has opened (Friday November 13 2009). We have been given 3 Stars by the Chicago Tribune as well as 20 Best New Restaurants in Chicago. Even writer Kevin Pang of the Chicago Tribune was nominated for a James Beard Award for the article "Plan D", which is the story of how my life changed after Top Chef and the course it took to get to Sprout.”
Who do you still speak to from the cast?: “I still talk with Casey, Brian, Tre, CJ... plus a ton of people from other seasons.... We are all over the place, so it is a bit hard to keep up.... But I can say there is a sense of family for sure.”
What was your favorite challenge? “That is a hard one … Restaurant Wars.”

What has changed since your season?: “Met my fiance, and getting married in September 2010. Opened Perilla Restaurant in May 2007.”

What was your favorite challenge? “Cooking in Napa and the finale in Las Vegas.”

What has changed since your season?: “I now get recognized almost everywhere I go. I have had work opportunities all over the country and across the globe since Top Chef. I have traveled more in the past two years than had ever imagined. It's been an amazing time. I have certainly tried to take advantage of the doors that have opened up.”
Who do you still speak to from the cast?: “I keep in touch with (and see often) Stefan, Fabio, Carla, Jamie, Leah, Jeff, and many chefs from past seasons, including the rock star Stefanie Izard. ”
What was your favorite challenge? “The challenges in New Orleans (all of them). I am now officially a surrogate resident of that wonderful city.”

What has changed since your season?: “I opened my own restaurant/gastropub The Gorbals in downtown Los Angeles, and it's doing really well. I am having a baby boy in December.”
Who do you still speak to from the cast?: “I still speak to Elia Aboumrad, Michael Midgley, Betty Fraser, and have made friends with castmates from other seasons including C.J. Jacobson, Brian Malarkey, Richard Blais, and Hung Huynh.”
What was your favorite challenge? “Favorite challenge was definitely the mystery box from the first elimination challenge of Season 2.”

What has changed since your season?: “People recognize me wherever I go now, which is pretty rad, and I have also received a lot of opportunities as a result of being a Top Chef contestant/finalist.”

What was your favorite challenge? “The Finale in Hawaii because I got to cook whatever I wanted and had amazing products and atmosphere to draw inspiration from.”

What has changed since your season?: “Personally, not much besides getting a house in escrow. I work an 18-hour day instead of a 14-hour day, and I haven’t had much time off to do anything since the restaurants opened. I’m working on restaurant number three in Hollywood, opening roughly October 2010.”
Who do you still speak to from the cast?: “Of course Jamie ;-), Hosea, Carla, and some of the others here and there.”
