Candiace Dillard-Bassett Wore a Nirvana Corset Top — and Yes, She Can Name a Nirvana Song
After the RHOP singer failed to name any Metallica songs while wearing the band's tee in 2019, she came prepared to redeem herself with her latest rock-inspired style.
Back in 2019, a fan calling in to Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen gave Candiace Dillard-Bassett a bit of a hard time when she wore a Metallica t-shirt. "Can [Candiace] name three Metallica songs?" a caller shadily asked, referencing the deconstructed top with red lace trim and silver metal beadwork. Though The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member couldn't name any tracks from the thrash metal group at the time, she recently returned to the WWHL clubhouse with another famous band emblazoned across her chest — and this time she was prepared.
"Before the audience starts tweeting and saying, 'Can you name three Nirvana songs?' — because last time you wore the Metallica shirt — you got a Nirvana song for me?" Andy asked during the December 4 show.
"Yes," Candiace confidently replied. "'Come As You Are.'"
"Okay, thank you!" Andy responded, congratulating the "Drive Back" singer on proving she knows a thing or two about the grunge scene of the early '90s.
Much like her Metallica moment, Candiace didn't wear just any old Nirvana t-shirt for Sunday's show. She again went for a deconstructed style with what appeared to be a piece of a t-shirt with "Nirvana" in bright yellow lettering printed over a black-and-white photo of the band's final photo shoot with photographer Jesse Frohman.
The print covered a strapless denim bustier corset and Candiace paired the top with shiny black leggings and black Christian Louboutin pointed toe pumps, rocking a high side pony of her long, highlighted braids. She also wore thin, large gold hoops and a gold chain necklace with a string of black jewels down the front, topping the look off with bright red nails.
