Katie Rost Just Recreated an Iconic Throwback Mag Cover from Her Days as a Model
The Real Housewives of Potomac stunner is adding this Andre 3000 Honey Magazine cover to a movie about her life.
Given her flare for dramatics, refreshing sense of humor, and her now-iconic love of wonky wigs, it should come as no surprise that former model Katie Rost has turned her attention to the more dramatic world of acting and directing. The Real Housewives of Potomac beauty has been sharing her journey as a filmmaker openly on Instagram for a while now, but in a recent post she gave us a little reminder of her earlier days in front of the camera and a glimpse at how her modeling career will play into her new project.
On September 11, Katie posted a throwback pic from 2002 when she posed alongside Outkast frontman Andre 3000 for a Honey Magazine cover. The lanky beauty is seen in a skimpy red and white polka dot swimsuit coupled with statement jewelry and a casual, curly updo. It seems Katie has always been ready for the spotlight as she gives the camera her best smize. But in the caption and additional photo, Katie explains that she is, in fact, going to recreate this playful photo for her upcoming movie project Bergen, which is a film about Katie's life and struggles.
"For my production of #Bergen we recreated my Honey Magazine cover from back in the day(1) using my actress @bronzedbarbie playing the role of "Cassie Stone" (2). I’m loving the results! So cute!" she wrote.
Fans are excited to see how Katie's film brings her life to light, but they were also quick to point out a few grammatical issues with the revamped image. "This may be a dumb question is Ashanti spelled wrong on purpose?" one follower wrote. "my graphic designer has been fired and punished," Katie clarified. The drama is already beginning to unfold!
