Leah McSweeney Responds to Luann de Lesseps Shading Her Apartment
"I love my home," Leah said following her RHONY cast-mate's less than flattering comments on the abode.
Leah McSweeney isn't quite losing sleep over Luann de Lesseps' less than flattering comments about her apartment.
To recap: When Luann was asked for her thoughts on Leah's abode during an interview on RHONY, she quipped: "Do you really want to know?" before eventually offering: "I love how humble she is." (Watch the video above to see the moment.)
As Leah reflected on the moment during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she revealed she wasn't fazed by the comments. "I didn't take it really personally because I love my home," The Real Housewives of New York City cast member said. "I didn't really get offended by it, to be honest."
Leah shared the same sentiment while discussing the scene during a recent interview with BravoTV.com. “I didn’t take it too personally,” she explained. “I mean, I said this early on when they were like, making fun of my hat. Like, you can make fun of my outfit, just don’t come for my character, you know what I mean? I don’t even care.”
“I don’t think she gets it. Like, I don’t think she gets Financial District-type apartments,” Leah continued. “High ceilings! You know, not Upper East Side townhouse-type sh-t. She just doesn’t get it.”
Leah was able to find the humor in the situation by taking a subtle dig at Luann's comments in the caption of a May 20 Instagram post. “I’m so excited for everyone to meet my sister [Sarah] tomorrow on RHONY," she wrote. "She comes over to my humble abode to chat so make sure you tune in tomorrow.” Sarah, for her part, took a more direct approach to the joke, quipping in the comments section: “I can’t believe I even went over to that sh-t hole.”
While Leah has spoken several times about her love for the apartment, it seems she may be making moves to another soon. New York-based home organizing company SPIFF shared several posts to its Instagram Story on June 12 with a caption that read: “New place is coming together for [Leah].”
In a separate snap reposted by Leah, the company used the hashtag: "Moving Day."
