Dorinda Medley Shows Inside Her Incredible Berkshires Closet
The RHONY fashionista's wardrobe is a replica of a closet from an Italian hotel.
Following the news that Dorinda Medley is leaving The Real Housewives of New York City after six seasons, we're looking back at some of her greatest moments
We all know Dorinda Medley has made sure that Blue Stone Manor, her estate in the Berkshires, is very nice, but The Real Housewives of New York City cast member’s custom closet is arguably the home’s nicest feature. In an exclusive video for BravoTV.com, which you can watch above, Dorinda shared an intimate look at her impressive collection of designer duds.
Before pulling out a few of her favorite pieces, Dorinda shared the incredibly special inspiration behind her wardrobe.
“This closet is actually a complete copy of a closet that I saw at Hotel Cipriani in Venice. I stayed there with Richard and I fell in love with their closet, so I took millions of pictures and copied it,” revealed Dorinda.
Dorinda also explained that the wardrobe at Blue Stone Manor is slightly different from the sequin-filled one she has in New York City.
“So, I have my New York closet and then my country closet. Even though I’m in the country, I think it’s very important to keep the game up... the fashion game,” she said. “And I have a couple special pieces to make it nice.”
Dorinda’s Berkshires closet is filled with a balance of comfortable and “country chic” pieces. She has a collection of comfy cashmere (including a new jumper with a matching luxurious jacket), tons of designer bags, and of course, a section dedicated to cocktail hour.
“At the Blue Stone Manor, we love to throw dinner parties, and it’s very cool and casual all weekend until cocktail hour on Saturday night,” Dorinda explained. “So, everybody goes to their room and transforms into country chic, and we really do dress up and have a proper sit-down dinner.”
With a closet containing everything from Gucci to Alexander McQueen to sweat-outfits, Dorinda is truly ready to take on the day, no matter what it might entail.
“Boots! Bags! Jeans! Workout clothes! I’m ready for everything here at Blue Stone Manor, so you know what? Everybody that lives up in the Berkshires, you can work out with me. You can cook dinner with me. You can lay around casual with me, or you can do a full dinner party chic with me. So anyone want to come to dinner soon?”
Um... yes, please!
