Jennifer Aydin Shows Inside Her Former Home With Bill: "We Couldn't Afford Much"

These days, Jennifer Aydin lives in a famously lavish manse that has an indoor basketball court, a glamorous and freshly redone kitchen, and — yes — 18 bathrooms. (See the home in the clip above.) But life wasn't always this way for The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member and her husband, Bill Aydin. 

In a recent Instagram share, Jennifer offered a peek into the Manhattan apartment the couple lived in while her plastic surgeon husband was still a resident. To caption photos of herself, Bill, and their then-baby boy Justin, Jennifer wrote: 

"It was 2004. Bill was a resident at St. Vincent’s in Manhattan. We lived in subsidized housing for residents since we couldn’t afford much. His parents helped out in those days. My mom and I had painted our walls to save money and Bill wanted yellow cause it was a 'happy color.' For Justin’s 1st bday, my sister hand made all of the Sesame Street decorations. We did whatever we could to save."

As Jennifer continued her trip down memory lane, she shared more photos from places that she and Bill have lived. Describing a 2007 move, she wrote: "[Gabby] was born on June 8 in NYC and we had to be out of our apartment by June 23. Movers were so expensive and we found this shady company that broke out furniture during the move. With the hormones, new baby, shady movers, money issues, and stress of the move, I cried a lot. We left the city and moved to Elmsford NY."

She continued her story in another post. "It was 2008," Jennifer wrote. "After 1 year in Elmsford NY, we had to move again, but this time to Michigan! We rented again."

"It was 2011," she wrote next. "After 2 years of living in Michigan, we moved to Jersey only to find out that I was pregnant again with Christian!"

Her last throwback post showed her and Bill with all five of their kids. "Finally! Last, but certainly not least, Olivia!" she wrote.
