Lisa Rinna Explains Why Harry Hamlin Wears Acrylic Nails
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member's husband wears fake nails on one hand.
In May, Kyle Richards showed off her unexpected manicure, writing on Instagram, "Who am I?" But on the August 11 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was eager to talk about someone else's nails.
"You guys were sleeping, and [Lisa] Rinna shared with us today that Harry [Hamlin] has acrylic nails on one of his hands," she said to Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, and Kathy Hilton. As Lisa explained during the episode, "Harry plays the guitar, and he gets acrylics on one hand because he doesn't like to use a pick."
After seeing a photo of Harry's nails, the women were floored. "Harry, give me some tips. No pun intended." Kyle quipped in an interview during the episode. "I mean, forget 'sexiest man alive,' he's going for sexiest hand alive."
Long nails have been a topic of conversation for Kyle throughout this season of the show. On the July 14 episode, she opened up to Kathy about letting her then-12-year-old daughter Portia "glue on fake nails."
"Portia's so little and she can't do anything, she can't go anywhere. She's just, like, home," Kyle said through tears as she talked about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. "You know I would never normally allow her to have those long nails, but she has nothing to do. So if she wants to play with makeup at home and put on these things and take them off, I mean, am going to say 'No?' For what?"
