As the coronavirus situation continues to unfold and recommendations for social distancing, self-quarantining, and washing your produce remain paramount, Adrienne Maloof would like us all to remember something. In a hilarious post to Instagram yesterday, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum reminded us all that she’s actually been washing her food with soap for ages.

#TBT but oh so relevant,” Adrienne captioned a cartoon drawing showing herself washing a chicken with soap while wearing gloves while an aghast Lisa Vanderpump looking on.

The scene, which took place during the second season of RHOBH all the way back in 2011, occurred when Lisa stopped by her then-neighbor’s house to give her some cooking tips. She found Adrienne prepping a raw chicken by rinsing it in her kitchen… with soap! “OK, we don’t need any soap. Did you just put soap on it? You didn’t. You put soap on it? On the chicken? You’re going to get sick putting soap on here!" Lisa laughed.

Retorted an indignant Adrienne, “Let me tell you what, if you’ve ever been sick, if you’ve ever had salmonella poisoning, you’d do the same. How else do you get a chicken clean?”

Well, there you have it, folks, Adrienne was way ahead of her time when it comes to food cleanliness!
