America's Favorite Grocery Store May Surprise You
Nope, not Trader Joe's.
What does a grocery store have to do to earn the honor of being America's very favorite one? Apparently, it has to do more than make deep-dish chocolate chip cookie dough and Everything Bagel Seasoning. We're with you if you're thinking: Is there more?
But, a recent survey has revealed that the country's favorite grocery store is — drumroll, please — Wegmans. And no, that's not an egregious typo that meant to read "Trader Joe's."
Conducted by Market Force, the survey took into account feedback from close to 13,000 customers using an online survey. Trader Joe's did earn top marks for fast checkout and friendly cashiers, while Wegmans and Publix tied for first-in-class in cleanliness and the availability of items. (Both are very important grocery-store assets, to be sure.) For the record: Wegmans has come is as America's top-ranked grocery store, according to the survey, for the past three years — since it first dethroned TJ's.
We can't help but wonder if that survey would have had different results had Bethenny Frankel been polled, however. After all, the SkinnyGirl founder has considered camping out at a Trader Joe's opening. She's all of us... except those who swear by Wegmans, apparently.
