Would Macaulay Culkin Make Another Home Alone Movie?
Could this be the return of the Mac? (Sorry, we couldn’t resist.)
It's been 28 years since Macaulay Culkin starred in Home Alone, but fans have kept an active interest in the film. So naturally, when he sat down to participate in a Reddit AMA (which stands for "Ask Me Anything"), Home Alone questions were among the first to be asked.
He admitted that he prefers the original movie to the 1992 sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. "We didn't know what we were walking into and it was a lot less flying all over the place; it was all in Chicago," he wrote. "Also it had 100 [percent] less Trump," he noted, referring to Donald Trump's brief, seconds-long cameo in the sequel.
The burning question remains: Would he make another Home Alone movie?
"Only if it was set in the woods, à la Rambo," he said.
His cheeky reply might really mean that he's not exactly chomping at the bit to do another Home Alone, but surely it wouldn't be too hard to whip up a treatment or script that took his character into a dense forest for a new kind of adventure and persuade him to keep to his Reddit AMA word. Writers, perhaps it's time give it your best shot.
