Lala Kent Found the Most Personal Way to Honor Her Late Dad and It Involves His Ashes
"To not have him with me would just freak me out," the Vanderpump Rules SURver shared about her unique accessory.
Lala Kent found the perfect way to keep her dad close to her at all times following his passing last month. The Vanderpump Rules hostess revealed on Instagram that she has a necklace that pays homage to her late dad. "I got my chain with my dad's birthday and death day. His ashes are in there so I'll have him with me all the time," she shared. "I couldn't put him in the ground. I had the weirdest moment where I just broke down to my mom."
On Instagram, Lala noted that since she doesn't live in her home state of Utah anymore, it felt like the right way to honor him. "To not have him with me would just freak me out. I have him right here. And then I have a little birdie. I have the rest of his ashes in a little birdie and we all have the same one, me and my family," she added. Birdie was apparently the nickname her mom gave Lala, her dad, and her brother.

Lala also opened up a bit about how she's coping following her father's passing. "Yesterday marked one month since my dad passed away," she wrote on Instagram on May 22. "I don’t think I’ve ever felt so lost. Like I’m falling waiting for someone to catch me. I’m devastated, I’m angry, I’m emotional, I’m fragile. My world has truly crumbled and I’m trying to figure out how to rebuild it. Trying to get control of my emotions for just one hour. It’s been impossible."
In the photo, her "Dad" tattoo is also visible — another way she's honored her father since his death.
