Padma Lakshmi Shares an Update on Her Dating Life
The Top Chef host opened up about her love life on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
After the Top Chef Season 20 Top premiere on March 9, Padma Lakshmi headed to Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen to dish all about it. But Andy Cohen wasn't just serving up questions about the cheftestants. The talk show host also asked Padma about her love life. Luckily, Padma was happy to share what's been cookin' in the relationship department.
Toward the top of the show, the Top Chef host made a quip about not getting, erm, "penetrated" much lately. "Is that true? Padma, we've gotta change that!" Andy said.
In the clip above, Padma opens up about her turnons — and turnoffs — during a game of "Pillow Talk." She confessed that shoulders are the first physical trait that she notices in a man that she's attracted to.
The cookbook author also revealed that frozen grapes are her biggest culinary turn-on and that Christopher Reeves was her first-ever celebrity crush. When Andy asked Padma, "what dish do you prepare for someone that you really care about?" she had a very slurpy reply. "Anything in a bowl, preferably something you can slurp," she shared.
Padma shared that Bali is the most romantic international city she's ever visited. And when it came down to her preferred spooning style, she used a metaphor that involved several utensils. "Usually, [I prefer to be] the big spoon, but if I really trust you, then the steak knife," she said.
The new season of Top Chef features winners and finalists from 11 different versions of Top Chef. This time, they're all competing for the World All-Stars title.
The all-star chefs return to the kitchen in London to battle it out before moving on to the grand finale in Paris. This epic showdown marks the first time the flagship edition of Top Chef has gone abroad for an entire season.
In a Season 20 trailer, Tom Colicchio noted: “The competition just got really, really serious.” He later adds that the food has been “beyond our expectations.”
No word on whether any challenges involve frozen grapes.
