Teresa Giudice Reveals She’s Been in Touch with Kim Zolciak Following Her Divorce News
On WWHL, the RHONJ cast member reacted to the news that Kim had split up with Kroy Biermann.
Andy Cohen isn’t the only Bravolebrity who was taken aback by the news that Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are divorcing.
Back on May 8, TMZ reported that The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and her retired NFL player husband were splitting up after nearly 12 years of marriage. A week later, during an appearance on the May 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Teresa Giudice revealed how she reacted when she found out that Kim and Kroy were getting divorced.
But first, Teresa’s fellow guest, Leslie Bibb, said she was “kind of shocked” by the news and “so sad” because the two “seemed so in love.”
“I was too,” Teresa added. Andy then asked The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member if she had reached out to Kim at all after the news came out. “I texted her, yeah,” Teresa said, though she didn’t divulge anything more about the nature of their text exchange.
Andy had also reached out to the mom of six (Kim and Kroy have four children together — sons Kroy Jagger “KJ,” Kash, and Kane, and daughter Kaia Rose — and Kroy adopted Kim’s daughters Brielle and Ariana) as the WWHL host revealed on the May 9 broadcast of his SiriusXM series, Radio Andy.
“Texted a little bit with Kim yesterday,” Andy said. “[I] sent my condolences, because it’s a sad thing. They have kids, and that was just a couple [who] seemed very much in love.”
“I was very surprised. That was not the news I ever expected to get. They seemed so much in love and just together,” he continued. “I mean, they were a couple that, yeah, I thought they were in it for the long haul.”
Kim herself has yet to directly comment on the split, but she did take to social media on May 14 to share a special message with her followers on Mother’s Day.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “Sending love to all the ones that have lost their mom. Sending love to dads that are also moms.”
