Southern Charm’s Chelsea Meissner Just Announced Her Pregnancy in the Sweetest Way
The Southern Charm alum opened up about embarking on her motherhood journey with “one hell of a man.”
Chelsea Meissner is opening up about her next chapter — which includes becoming a mom!
The Southern Charm alum, who was a main cast member on Seasons 5 and 6 of the series, announced her pregnancy with an adorable Instagram video on April 26.
The video shows a series of sonogram photos, and although Chelsea didn’t explicitly state whether she knew the sex of her baby, the video is paired with Jack Johnson’s song “My Little Girl.”
In the caption of her post, the Survivor finalist opened up about how her pregnancy was helping her heal from the August passing of her beloved late rescue dog, Tyson.
“The circle of life is a powerful thing. When Tyson passed, I knew I could never love another soul nearly as much unless I had a child of my own,” she wrote. “[N]ow here we are with one on the way. You just never know what God has in store for you.”
Chelsea has not gone public with a relationship, but she hinted that she will embark on her parenthood journey with a partner.
“I’m so fortunate to have strong women in my life who have paved the road for me to motherhood and lucky to have one hell of a man!” she concluded her caption. “Here’s to a thick girl summer.”
Chelsea also revealed that she is due in September, and a few members of the Southern Charm family took to the comments to congratulate her on the exciting news.
“I LOVE HER ALREADY!!” Cameran Eubanks Wimberly wrote, before noting that her daughter, Palmer Corrine Wimberly, is thrilled by the news as well. “P can’t wait for her Podna to arrive!!”
“Couldn’t be more excited for you my Chels,” Naomie Olindo posted in a comment, along with several heart emojis.
Madison LeCroy added, “Congratulations,” along with a red heart emoji. “[Y]ou’re going to be a wonderful mom!”
Eliza Limehouse, who appeared on Season 6, welcomed Chelsea to the mom squad. “Mom life is the best,” she shared. “[C]ongrats.”
Outside of the Charleston sphere, Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, who became best pals with Chelsea when they were both castaways on Season 24 of Survivor (and who appeared on Southern Charm to design Chelsea’s house), also added a sweet message for the mom-to-be and her baby. “Luckiest girl in the world. The babe:) and you.. so happy.”
Congratulations to Chelsea!
