Tinsley Mortimer Reveals If She'd Ever Get a Tattoo to Honor Scott Kluth
The RHONY cast member dished about the ink in honor of her ex-husband, Topper Mortimer.
While there was a lot of heated discussion about Leah McSweeney's many tattoos, on the Thursday (April 9) episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Tinsley Mortimer shared her own history with ink.
The fashionista confessed to having a tattoo of her ex-husband Topper Mortimer's initials "RLM" (his real name is Robert Livingston Mortimer) on her hip area. So, when The Daily Dish spoke to Tinsley recently, she shared if she plans to honor Scott Kluth in a similar matter once they marry — and if her "RLM" tat is an issue for her future hubby.
"I forget that I have that tattoo. It’s just something that’s been on my body for so long that I don’t even like recognize it. And I just actually the other day told Scott, I was like, 'I’m so sorry that I still have this one. I definitely need it removed.' And he doesn’t care. He’s cool about it," she said. "But I will get it removed."
For the record, in Thursday's episode, Sonja Morgan offered up a suggestion for what she could tell people it stands for. Her suggestion? "Really lusty moment."
(Never change, Sonja!)
Though, that tat is not the only one Tinsley has on her body to honor those she's loved over the years.
"At one point I had three Chihuahuas and it was Bebe and Bella and Bambi. But before I got Bambi, I had just the two — and I did get tattoos of their ink on my wrist. They’re actually all covered up by bracelets now, so you never really see them," she told The Daily Dish. "I thought about getting Bambi before, somewhere, and then particularly after he died so suddenly. That was just so traumatic. I always thought that that would just [be nice to] honor him and [his] memory. And then of course my new little girls, Strawberry and Shortcake, will have to have something too. So, there’s probably a couple more tattoos in my future. I don’t think Scott would actually want me to get [his] name [on me]. He’s not a tattoo sort of person. So I feel like he wouldn’t. But maybe some significant number for us, or something."
That means that perhaps she may one day honor their relationship with a tat of their future wedding date, whenever that happens. "Maybe I’ll have to surprise him with something like that," she said.
