Here’s When Raquel Leviss Realized She Was Attracted to Tom Schwartz
She also said she “probably regret[s]” telling Katie Maloney that she would make out with Schwartz.
The Vanderpump Rules Season 10 trailer visually confirmed that the long-rumored make-out between Raquel Leviss and Tom Schwartz did, in fact, actually happen, and viewers are now getting to see how the two cast members got to that point on the show.
On the March 1 episode of the series, Raquel asked the recent divorcé point-blank if he would want to make out with her at the Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras concert. Though Schwartz declined, Raquel later admitted that she had feelings for the restaurant owner — and Scheana Shay is the reason why.
“I think I have a crush on Schwartz. I like that he’s always happy to see me, he always has, like, a big smile on his face, which makes me happy,” she said in a confessional. “I never viewed him this way before, ever, when he was with Katie [Maloney], but then Scheana put the idea in my head, and it just kind of stuck in the back of my mind and grew on me a little bit.”
As viewers may remember, Scheana claimed that Katie gave her a “blessing” to try to set Schwartz up with Raquel and that she would “encourage” them to be together. Katie said she “[didn’t] mean that” when she said it, but the seed had already been planted in Raquel’s head by that point.
On the March 1 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Raquel reiterated that she only started to develop feelings for Schwarz after Scheana suggested that the two would make a good match.
“I didn’t really view him that way,” she explained to host Andy Cohen, adding that she started to see people differently after she ended her engagement to James Kennedy. “Also, I think just being single, I’m seeing people with a new rose-colored lens.”
Since Raquel now knows that Katie wasn’t exactly cool with her cozying up to Schwartz, does she wish she hadn’t discussed the possibility of making out with him when the twosome went out with Lala Kent on the February 22 episode?
“[I] probably regret saying that,” Raquel admitted about the awkward interaction. “I was just being honest.”
Raquel admittedly has some regrets about how she handled her feelings for Schwartz, and that’s not the only situation from Season 10 that she’s reflecting on.
