Christian Siriano and Bones Jones Discuss Their Early Drama in Project Runway Season 19

It's getting down to the wire for the Bravo's Project Runway Season 19 designers, and the competition's latest elimination was certainly an emotional one.

The final five contestants were tasked with creating an editorial look for supermodel Coco Rocha in the January 20 episode of Project Runway. Unfortunately for Bones Jones, the judges felt like his design missed the mark, and he was out of the competition.

When Christian Siriano said goodbye to Bones at the end of the episode, he recalled how they had quite the "wild ride" this season. However, the Project Runway mentor gave the designer the warmest send-off. "Listen, good luck with everything. You are so creative, so talented, you made it really far," Christian told Bones. "Be super proud, OK? Call me anytime you need anything, OK?"

Bones and Christian have certainly come a long way in Season 19. As fans may recall, during the very first challenge of the season, Bones memorably told his teammates to not let Christian's feedback "distract [from] what we're doing."

Christian and Bones reflected on the evolution of their relationship in Season 19 during the Project Runway After Show, which you can check out, above. "It is kind of interesting because you have a lot of confidence and a lot of opinions. But then you do need help sometimes, and you do admit that, and I think that is important," Christian told Bones. "I think it's good character because it was a rocky start."

In fact, what Bones created for both his model and fellow Season 19 designer Darren Apolonio for that first challenge were some of Christian's favorite looks of the season. "I do like that we went from a fight..." Christian began as Bones then completed his thought, "To being tight!"

As for what's next for Bones, the designer has some intriguing plans for the future. "I'm gonna go visit my family, then I'm going on vacation, then I'm getting to it," he revealed to Christian, before clarifying exactly what he meant by "it." "I'm getting to it. Whatever it is, I'm getting to it. I see it being like a modern-day atelier."

It sounds like this is only the start of a beautiful friendship between Christian and Bones as well. "I'll see you soon," Christian told Bones at the end of the Project Runway After Show.

"For real?" Bones replied, and Christian confirmed, "For real."
