Yes, Nico Tortorella's Fluid Sexuality Still Perplexes Some People
Things got real when celebs and experts gathered to chat about love on Bravo's Personal Space.
When host Greta Titelman and her revolving panel of guests all sat down for Bravo's Personal Space series, the comedian wanted to make sure that everyone was down for open conversations about the good, the bad, and the sexy when it comes to romance. She was really down to make sure the show was a "no judgment space."
She told The Daily Dish, "It's important to have these conversations so that people know that we're all just humans trying our best. No one's perfect... I think it's important to talk about issues that are common among all of us."
One of the hot topics happened to go down during Episode 1 when Younger star Nico Tortorella was more than open about his fluid sexuality and his love life. It quickly became a buzzy topic among the panel. "What is very interesting about that conversation is that we had on a male matchmaker [Steve Ward] and he was a bit older. He wasn't necessarily in the generation of everyone else at the round table," she recalled. "We were talking just about the concept of monogamy and if you can be polyamorous and what it means to be pansexual. We just had a really interesting conversation about people that are interested in having open relationships and people that are interested in sort of sleeping with men and women and just being kind of open and talking to someone who's a bit more traditional and has a bit more of traditional values when it comes to a relationship looks like."
She continued that the conversation really did boil down to a difference in opinion from generation to generation about what looks normal in a relationship. "We had a really interesting conversation about the different kinds of ways we can have relationships and pursue relationships. That conversation was super interesting to me because we have Nico, who is very open about the fact that he is in a sort of polyamorous relationship. He's pansexual and his partner is a lesbian. He has a very interesting love life, if you will. And then [fellow panelists] Giulia Rozzi and Will Miles — this couple, they're really open about the fact that maybe they want to open their relationship up later down the road. And then we had the matchmaker and he was very much 'No, you find your mate. You stay with them and that's it. And we were like 'OK'."
