Here's What You Didn't Know About Nene Leakes and Cynthia Bailey's Finale Friendship Blow-Up
We're spilling all the behind-the-scenes secrets from that game-changing RHOA Season 11 finale.
There was a whole lot going down in The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 finale, from Porsha Williams' gender reveal prep, to Cynthia Bailey's Bellini event, to Eva Marcille's financial rumors. However, the most shocking moment from the episode had to be the sudden collapse of Nene Leakes and Cynthia's friendship over Kenya Moore's surprise appearance. Although the finale was jam-packed with drama, there were still a ton of things happening behind the scenes that viewers never got to see. But don't worry, Bravo's got you covered.
All will be revealed during an exclusive "Behind the Episode" special, which airs Wednesday, October 23 at 8/7c. Read on to get a sneak peek at some of the juiciest secrets from the episode!
1. Nene vs. Kenya Starts it All
The rift between Nene and Kenya erupted at Cynthia's Peach Bellini event. Once Kenya arrived, producers knew Nene was upset because "she stopped talking, wanted to leave, and didn't want Gregg to talk to anyone."
That was also the moment Nene and Cynthia's friendship was tested, later sparking a bigger clash between the two of them.
2. What Did Cynthia Know?
Nene was so upset that Cynthia didn't give her a heads up that Kenya was coming to the event. However, producers confirm that Cynthia in fact, "REALLY did not know" that Kenya was coming to the party.
3. That Mysterious Sound Bite
Now, what about that "setting up how Kenya got there" audio from the episode? It was confirmed that the short conversation between Kandi and Cynthia took place in the car before Kandi walked into the restaurant to meet with the other RHOA ladies.
4. Nervous Nene
The whole situation had Nene in shambles, even during the lunch that followed Cynthia's party. Nene was "very emotional and nervous" before Cynthia arrived. "She kept going to the bathroom," say producers.
5. Hindsight is 20/20
Looking back, Cynthia wishes she'd called Nene and said, "There's a slim chance in hell that Kenya's coming to the party." Maybe things would've panned out differently.
Craving more? Well, if you want to find out what other secrets are in store, like what Tanya and Kandi were doing while this all went down or who spreads the best gossip to the producers, you'll have to check out the special.
