There's Been an Unexpected Development in Melissa Gorga's Backyard: "Really?!" (PICS)
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom had a few surprising visitors on her home's back patio.
When The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple Joe and Melissa Gorga moved into their Franklin Lakes home in November 2022, they updated several parts of the property, including the backyard. In addition to hosting friends and family in the outdoor area, the couple occasionally host some, well, unexpected guests.
"[OK] really?!! Thanksgiving was last week guys! Be happy you're alive!" Melissa hilariously wrote over an Instagram Story video that revealed how multiple wild turkeys took refuge in the back patio and bar area.
Melissa added, "And get off my porch!"
Hey, we understand the New Jersey mom's concerns, but with a home that stunning, it's not surprising the neighborhood animals are stopping by to check out the dazzling digs.
The above backyard turkey moment isn't the first time Melissa's documented wild animals roaming around the grounds.
Earlier in September, the Envy boutique owner took to her Instagram page to share a video of a buck walking around the trees. "Look at the size of this thing! Oh my god... I'm scared."
She later quipped, "Santa needs you soon! Go back to the North Pole."
Melissa Gorga's Backyard Details
Again, we can't blame these furry friends for hanging out at the Gorga home, considering the incredible details of the gorgeous backyard.
In the video tour you can watch above, Melissa brought RHONJ fans inside and out of her jaw-dropping residence with a large rectangular-shaped pool. Other resort-like details include white chairs with black cushions, cabana beds, and a Baja shelf in the pool with built-in white lounge chairs for sunnier days.
"I really wanted to backyard to look like a resort," Melissa explains in the video tour. "So I wanted the cabanas. I wanted lots of lounge chairs. We also did lots of fireplaces that you can kind of sit around. Hearing the waterfalls, that is my favorite thing. It makes everything feel so peaceful and tranquil."
In an August 2023 Instagram post, Melissa shouted out New Jersey pool builders The Pool Boss for their exceptional design of the space.
“My very good friend happens to be an amazing pool designer […] [The Pool Boss] thank you for giving my family exactly what we wanted,” the fashion maven captioned the post, also thanking retailer The Wickery for her day beds.
Melissa and Joe also crafted a space for entertaining friends and family with a giant firepit and seating area. Black and light gray furniture pieces sit atop concrete pavers amid charcoal grey stones and a long, rectangular-shaped fire shelf provides the perfect cozy conversation vibes.
