Kris Jenner Just Got Body Shamed and Kim Kardashian Clapped Right Back
If you mess with the mother, you might get the daughter.
Kris Jenner has swagger for days, and don’t you forget it. The famous momager has a closet filled with Birkin bags, and delighted the entire Internet when she posted a boss-lady look that featured a fierce blonde bob and cherry-red boots. But, British tabloid Daily Mail recently used some unflattering words to describe Jenner’s vintage style.
In a recent post, the tabloid showed off images of Jenner from her modeling days in the late 1970s. Wearing wide-brim hats, collared shirts, and a three-piece women’s suit, the then-22-year-old Jenner strutted her stuff for the camera. Predictably, the photos distracted us from work for a good half hour. (Yep. They're that good.)
To preface the black-and-white images, the Daily Mail wrote: “Before she turned momager and reality TV star, Kris Jenner was a chubby-faced store clerk and junior flight attendant.” Annnd … stop the record.
Seizing on the words, Jenner’s daughter Kim Kardashian fired back. Posting the offending quote to Twitter, Kardashian asked: “Chubby really? That’s the headline? How about beautiful, youthful, stunning?”
Indeed, Kardashian’s question is food for thought. And, for the record, we do think Jenner made the very-'70s clothes she was modeling look pretty sweet.
