Kandi Burruss Reveals a Touching Fact About Her Cousin, Kandi & The Gang's Patrick Dallas

On Kandi & The Gang, fans are going inside OLG and have watched the drama and antics unfold as Kandi Burruss mixes business and family. The series follows Kandi and Todd Tucker as they try and find a balance in working with their employees at their Atlanta hotspot, OLG, some of whom happen to be Kandi's relatives.

And we don't just mean Bertha Jones, Nora Wilcox, and Joyce Jones, Kandi's aunts and mom, respectively. One of those relatives happens to be Kandi's cousin, Patrick Dallas, and she recently opened up a bit more about him on Twitter.

When one fan noted, "I love the way Patrick has [Kandi and Todd's] back," Kandi totally agreed. "Yes! Patrick has our back [and] we have his! [heart emoji]," she responded on Twitter.

Kandi previously noted on Instagram about Patrick, "Family is forever! You’ll get to know more of my cousin [Patrick on Kandi & The Gang]."

And slowly, fans have been getting to know Patrick for sure. According to his BravoTV.com profile, "Patrick is Kandi’s cousin and Aunt Bertha’s grandson. In the middle of the family business, he manages the OLG parking lot behind the restaurant and even has a few side hustles, from real estate to an all-natural luxury body essentials line. Despite his past as OLG’s resident ladies’ man, Patrick is smitten with his successful entrepreneur girlfriend, Safari Foxe."

In a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Kandi noted how she was excited for her family and employees to share their lives with the world. "Well, I mean, I think it's kind of cool because my family has supported me for years, just through me being on the show or whatever," Kandi shared. "And so I think, finally, it's their time to kind of shine or whatever. I like that because now, multiple things: They get to have a platform where they get to work on all their dreams and give them their purpose or whatever. And then on top of that, now they get to see what I have been dealing with [laughs]."

Kandi also shared even more about her cousin. In a separate tweet, Kandi revealed a very touching connection Patrick has to her late brother, Patrick Riley, after a fan noticed they have the same first name: "Yes he was named after my brother Patrick."

Kandi's brother passed away at the age of 22 on June 17, 1991 after getting into a car accident in Mexico. Kandi has been open about how much his passing has affected her, sharing with fans about his passing on Kandi's Wedding and also, later, on Xscape Still Kickin' It. "It was devastating to me," Kandi, who was only 15 years old at the time, shared on the latter series.

"He got along with everybody, and even when there was drama, he was able to get us all on the same page," she also said on Xscape Still Kickin' It. "If my brother had not passed away, we probably would have lasted longer as a group than we did."

In 2018, on what would have been her brother's 50th birthday, Kandi paid tribute to him, writing on Instagram, "He was the best big brother in the whole world. Sometimes I wonder what would he be doing if he was still here. I still miss him."
