We Hope Life Won't Imitate Art in Married Couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt's New Horror Film

What's it like to work with your spouse? For John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, the answer seems to be: pretty terrifying, indeed. The married couple recently collaborated on their first film together — and it looks amazingly creepy. 

Called A Quiet Place, the flick not only paired the lovebirds together on screen for the first time, but Krasinski also directed his wife in the supernatural thriller. The Office alum also wrote the script! No pressure, right, Blunt? So, why has it taken so long for one of Hollywood's cutest couples to finally pair up onscreen? 

"[Emily and I have] always wanted to work together, but it's just about finding the right story and also finding a story that's unique and specific enough that the story itself will be a better story than just the idea of us working together," Krasinski told Entertainment Tonight last December. "And that's somewhat difficult to find, if that makes any sense. We want the narrative to be the movie itself, not overwhelmingly just that we're married and we worked together."

Well, it looks like the twosome finally found the story they want to tell. And, from the looks of the trailer, it will scare the living daylights out of the rest of us. Though the exact plot is still surrounded in mystery, the teaser lets on that the film centers on a couple who lives on a farm, where they can't make a sound.

Take a peek at the creepy footage below — and, please, don't let this scare you away from working with your own spouse. Krasinski hardly seemed disenchanted with Blunt after working with her, telling ET: "Emily, through any lens, is someone that you just pinch yourself that you even get to be around her, let alone married to her."
