We Have an Update on Dolores Catania and Paulie Connell’s Marriage Plans
Paulie says he and the RHONJ cast member “have a plan that’s in effect.”
Will Dolores Catania say “I do” for a second time? All signs point to yes.
Since confirming her romance with Paul “Paulie” Connell last year, The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom has been constantly pressed about the next steps in her relationship. Although Dolores has said that marriage isn’t among her top priorities, it appears she has become increasingly open to the idea — especially after Paulie disclosed he had purchased an engagement ring in RHONJ Season 13.
The announcement fueled speculation that another Jersey wedding could be right around the corner. However, Dolores later revealed that she and Paulie couldn’t immediately tie the knot. Why? Because he was still married to his estranged wife.
“He’s been separated for 14 years,” Dolores said during the RHONJ Season 13 reunion, before being asked about the long delay. “I think there was never a call for it. I think he never thought about getting married again.”

Paulie addressed his separation during the reunion special and reassured viewers his divorce was “in the works.” He told host Andy Cohen that the drawn-out proceedings weren’t “causing a problem” with Dolores, and he had every intention of marrying the New Jersey mom once he was legally single. And it appears he hasn’t abandoned those plans.
While recently speaking to Page Six, Paulie confirmed that while his divorce has yet to be finalized, he’s already preparing for his next marriage.
“I think we have a plan that’s in effect that we believe is going to be within our time schedule,” he said during the September 12 red carpet interview. “[Dolores is] happy about that, so am I, so I think everybody else will be.”

Paulie didn’t provide any more details about their plans, including whether or not the nuptial ceremony will be shared on the small screen.
“That’s all up to [Dolores],” he said about filming the wedding for RHONJ. “I’m, like, new to this whole thing, so whatever she wants goes.”

It’s clear Dolores’ relationship is still going strong, as evidenced on her Instagram page. The RHONJ cast member regularly shares romantic photos of her and her beau enjoying quick getaways, charity events, and numerous parties together.
Back in late June, Dolores took to Instagram to upload a sweet throwback video in celebration of Paulie’s special day. The post included highlights from the couple’s relationship and was accompanied by a heartwarming message.
“Happy Birthday to everyone’s favorite Irishman,” she captioned the June 27 post. “We love you everyday but today we celebrate you and the amazing man that you are. There is no one more handsome[,] generous and authentic than you. Thank you for being my partner in this crazy world. I love you.”
