Below Deck's Dylan Explains *That* Vanderpump Rules Cameo with Katie Maloney
The St. David deckhand also revealed whether he felt any "chemistry" with the former SUR waitress.
Dylan Pierre De Villiers is an experienced deckhand on Below Deck, but is he looking to make a career pivot to work at SUR?
Shortly after Dylan joined the St. David crew on Below Deck Season 11, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that he made a cameo on none other than Vanderpump Rules Season 11.
Dylan can be seen sitting next to Katie Maloney on Season 11, Episode 9, as she confronts Brock Davies for telling her ex-husband, Tom Schwartz, about her hookup with Max Boyens.
On the April 29 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dylan revealed why exactly he was sitting next to Katie at SUR that night. "It's actually such a funny story, Andy," Dylan said. "So, we finished up with our professionals in LA, in Hollywood, so I thought it would be a nice idea to go out. As I go — I've never been to SUR before — I see them filming Vanderpump Rules."
Dylan soon found himself in the middle of a tense moment between the cast members.

"So, Guillermo [Zapata], the owner of it, and Lisa and all of them were there, and the next thing I know, I'm sitting next to Katie and asking her what she does for a living. So I was like, 'Katie, so yeah, what do you do for a living?' and she just kind of looks at me, and then we were just chatting back and forth."
Did Dylan Pierre De Villiers and Katie Maloney have chemistry?
Andy asked the deckhand if he felt any sort of connection with the Something About Her co-owner during his time at SUR, but Dylan admitted to being distracted during their conversation.
Why? Well, as he put it, "Just before I got to know her full life story, there was a massive fight that broke out, and I was sipping my Aperol spritz quite vigorously at that point."
