A Bottled Water Burglary and Paternity Scandal Have Made It a Tough Month to Be Drake
And you complained about filing your taxes this April.
April has not been a good month for Drake. Earlier this week, Instagram model Layla Lace alleged that Drake flew her out to meet him for a hook-up that resulted in her getting pregnant. She claimed that after telling him, he stopped speaking to her, which is what forced her to go public with the info. Layla recently set her account to private, but The Shade Room captured her message to the rapper, below.
A screenshot of a supposed Instagram DM conversation between Layla and Drake's friend Gayson Kewley, AKA DJ Spade, was also released, during which Layla appears to have written that she made the pregnancy up for fame and fortune (Drake liked Gayson's post on Instagram).
Layla insists that the conversation is fake. But since minimal Photoshop skills make it ridiculously easy to fake just about anything these days, there's really no telling who's being truthful. Perhaps a paternity test would clear this whole thing up, but Drake is probably not answering any of Layla’s calls to set that up right now.
Meanwhile, it seems things aren't great for Drake at home, either. TMZ reports that a very thirsty fan broke into his house on April 3 and was found lounging in Drake's bed wearing his hoodie. The 24-year-old admitted to police that she’d stolen Pepsi, Sprite, and Fiji water from the rapper. The damage? A whopping $10. Though there were definitely more valuable items on the premises, she was still charged with felony burglary. If you’re going to break into a celebrity’s house, BYOBottled water.
