Dolores Catania is an open book when it comes to procedures she's had in the beauty, wellness, and cosmetic surgery spaces. In fact, The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom is once again keeping it transparent about a recent cosmetic procedure and now she's telling all about it and sharing exclusive photos of the results of her Renuvion procedure to help tighten the skin around her knees with The Daily Dish. These photos mark the rare time that Dolores has allowed her knee area to be photographed.

In fact, Dolores is sharing new details and an update on her journey after her Renuvion procedure earlier this fall. (Renuvion is a "body contouring technology" that "treats loose skin" such as Dolores had around her knees.)

"Well, because for a long time now I've been looking for something for skin tightening," Dolores shared in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish in mid-November, explaining her search for the right procedure and doctor brought her to Dr. Joshua Zuckerman. "Anybody who's been doing plastic surgery as long as I have, I have to say, I'm pretty lucky — except for the fact that back when we were getting liposuction years ago, no one warned us about the loose skin that would follow it."

Why Dolores Catania chose Renuvion cosmetic procedure for her knees

As it turns out, when it came time for Dolores to fix the skin around her knees from a liposuction surgery years prior, she felt Renuvion was the perfect fit, especially in an era of the "Ozempic craze. People have loose skin from losing so much weight."

"So liposuction does change the shape. So, here we are. We have Ozempic knees, we have liposuction knees, and I don't have great genetics when it comes to my legs. They are not my friend, so I have had a decade's worth of looking for the right skin-tightening treatment which was very hard to find until now," she explained about enlisting Dr. Zuckerman to do the procedure for her. "I had read about Renuvion. It seemed to be the latest and greatest. The science was behind it. It's FDA-cleared. It targets the spots by tightening the skin and not leaving so much scar tissue. So, it really interested me. And when I went in and I spoke to Dr. Zuckerman, he had me convinced that this was the treatment for me [and] what I was looking for."

For Dolores, she noted that she had always been "very self-conscious" when it came to the appearance of her knees.

"Well, I've always thought about it. So, a lot of people carry their weight in different places. I carry my weight in my thighs and my legs and I've always been very self-conscious. So, this has been a really long time coming for me to find the right procedure that would fix it. Dr. Zuckerman is very cheery; he's very upbeat. He was very honest. I trusted him, his credentials were there. He's board-certified. You really have to do your homework on a doctor before you go to him, and my biggest thing is he does this procedure on most of his patients, so that's the thing. A doctor that does something time and time again, if you do something enough, you get good at it," she said. "So, I always like to go to the doctor for that specific thing, and he happens to be [an expert in this]. He said, 'If I do liposuction, I'm also doing this treatment as well on my patients. So, it's something I do all the time.'"

At the time of the interview with The Daily Dish in mid-November, Dolores noted she was "two-and-a-half weeks out" from her the date of her procedure and recovering. "I'm happy with it so far. It was nice to know that something that bothered me so much and really, really weighed on me to not wear anything short or over the knee unless I was wearing stockings, to not wear shorts in the summer, things like that" has a way to fix it as she found with this procedure.

"I'm loving the results," she added. "But it does take about six months to see the full results. You have to expect that you're not gonna see things right away. Not everything is a quick fix. It didn't get like this overnight, it doesn't get fixed overnight."

While she may have to wait a little while longer to heal up and see the results of the procedure, she was already feeling differently about her knee area.

"Well, I've had more confidence. To be self-conscious about something, especially, something on your body, you're constantly aware of it. I just want freedom from that," she said. "I want freedom from always trying to hide something on my body 'cause I was embarrassed of it or ashamed of it or I couldn't stand the look of it. So, I'm looking forward to this summer."

Dolores explained that by mid-2025, her healing journey post-treatment should be complete "because my timing was that by the summer, it should be full results are in, everything that I expected should be the way it is. I've seen the before and afters and they're amazing with other patients. Dr. Zuckerman has said he's gotten very, very good results from Renuvion."

Dolores Catania reflects on her experience with liposuction

Dolores then explained why she chooses to be transparent about her treatments with those who follow her journey: "Well, I feel a responsibility to people. We're like a community. I feel like it's only fair for them to know that no, this isn't just me. I was not born like this. I had help and I looked into what was and the best way to do it," she said. "So when I do the homework and I share it, for me, it's like part of my job to do that. To be honest and be transparent. Then the other thing is, I do have a surgical background [as a] surgical assistant, so I also know the repercussions of going to the wrong doctor or having the wrong procedure. With plastic surgery, you really get one time to do it right. One time. Revisions are not fun. And other doctors don't typically wanna touch it, so I also wanna help people through that process."

Dolores Catania Reveals Her Impressive Job Resume

She continued, "That's why, I mean, having liposuction in my legs [years ago]... and it caused loose skin on top of what I had already had, and I said, you know, if I was to talk to anybody, I would say, try to steer away from that as much as possible. Now, you know, and then you have to go get Renuvion and get everything tightened up, you know?

What's next for Dolores Catania?

With the new year right around the corner, Dolores is just healing up and is looking forward to debuting the results of her Renuvion procedure. "For 2025, right now, and I'm being a hundred percent honest, in my head right now, I am 100 percent looking forward to my knees. Thank you, Renuvion," she said.
