Did Kim Kardashian Throw Shade at Taylor Swift with this Instagram Post?
And just like that, the celebrity feud has picked up steam again.
When Kim Kardashian visited an art gallery on December 4, she took a photo of one particularly striking exhibit. It only made sense that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was intrigued with this piece of art, which featured a naked wax replica of her husband, Kanye West, lying next to an equally naked wax figure of Taylor Swift.
After posting a capture of the curious sculpture, Kardashian captioned the Instagram snap: "Famous." And, just like that, fans began to speculate that the feud between the KKW Beauty mogul and the Reputation singer had been reignited.
Need some background? Let's review. But first, take a peek at the Instagram that had Swift's fans grabbing for the rat emojis.
In Kanye West's 2016 song "Famous," (remember: this is the song that inspired Kardashian's caption) the rapper utters a controversial line: "I feel like Taylor Swift still owe me sex / I made that bitch famous."
The song inspired about a year of beef between Swift and West, and it didn't help matters when Kardashian leaked a Snapchat video of the rapper talking to the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer about the song before releasing it. When Kardashian later appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she confided that she hadn't spoken to Swift since the drama went down.
So, the feud seemed to simmer on at a low boil, until the December 4 Instagram post reinvigorated the tiff — at least in the eyes of fans. The hundreds of rat emojis in the comments section of the post could have come from steadfast Swift loyalists. In case you're not fluent in emoji: Swift's latest album, Reputation, is filled with snake imagery. And, snakes eat rats. Get it?
To us, the Instagram snap seems innocent enough on Kardashian's end. (Again: there was a naked wax figure of her husband. Who wouldn't take a pic in her shoes?) But, fans don't seem quite ready to let this one go.
