David Parnes Explains Why He Got a Nose Job

David Parnes shared a big reveal on last week's Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles when he told the world that he had recently gotten plastic surgery on his nose (clip above). He told his longtime real estate partner, James Harris, that he had the procedure to deal with some breathing issues and "didn't expect it to that drastic."

Now he's opening up a bit more about why he had the surgery. “I had it done for the first time many years ago in London. The original procedure left scar tissue which made it difficult for me to breathe, and the recent surgery was corrective,” he told PEOPLE. “I visited an ENT to discuss my breathing issues and he recommended a corrective procedure."

David revealed his nose job results on MDLLA.

He also shared his advice for others who might be thinking of going under the knife. “If you choose to have the procedure, conduct extensive research to find a surgeon who is board certified, and a specialist in rhinoplasty. Ask to see before and after photos, and speak to some former patients for a reference," he said. "I regret having the initial procedure because it led to more problems that needed to be corrected. This is a major surgery and not to be taken lightly."

But it seems it's been worth it since he's received lots of good feedback since revealing his new nose. “Everyone seems to like it, so far I haven’t received any negative feedback and I appreciate that,” he said. “I am happy with the cosmetic results but more importantly I am grateful that I can breathe without any internal obstructions.”
