Craig Conover Sets the Record Straight on Status with Paige: "I'll Admit..."
Southern Charm's Craig Conover opened up about his and Paige DeSorbo's plans for the future.
More than three years into their relationship, Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo are still dating long-distance — and they're not caught up in thinking about what's next.
Though the Southern Charm-er has previously given some rough deadlines about proposing to the Summer House-mate (which have all come to pass), he's not contemplating a potential engagement at the moment.
"I am happy representing the couple that we are now, like just dating a strong, independent, career-driven woman," he explained on the December 12 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen about why the couple is in no rush to take the next step.
Those past timelines, he added, were mostly self-imposed.
"I think a lot of those timelines, they were definitely forced by me, and I didn't know any better," he continued on Andy Cohen's late night talk series. "I mean, I've said that before, but also, society, I don't know — this is what I'll admit now. I have no idea what's going on at any point in time. We live for the week instead of obsessing for the future."
For now, the two are still dividing their time between Charleston and New York City (though they did spend the Thanksgiving holiday together at Paige's parents' house in upstate New York).
Did Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo break up?
No, Paige and Craig did not end their relationship. Craig fired back at the recent rumors surrounding his status with the Giggly Squad co-host during an exclusive chat with The Daily Dish.
"I got asked about it last night, and I didn't even know," he said. "They were like, 'Are you guys being paid to break up or something?' And I was like, what do you — I think they could tell I was confused. And they're like, 'Oh, that's just a rumor.' And I was like, 'Well, I have no idea.'"
Craig also told E! News, "We're together like, every week. So no, Paige and I are not broken up. We're still together."
Craig Conover teases a potential move to New York City
As viewers have seen on both Summer House and Southern Charm, Paige and Craig have debated whether they want to settle down full-time in the Big Apple, or in South Carolina.
Though Craig owns a house in the latter destination, he's warming up to the idea of relocating to New York City.
"Honestly, I will always be a part of Charleston, but I’m starting to love this like New York energy and the challenges that come with New York, and I think I’ll be spending more time up here," he told Page Six in December.
His business, Sewing Down South, is also based in Charleston, but Craig doesn't mind traveling back in forth frequently.
"So as long as I have an airport, I can get to my meetings,” he told the outlet. "I enjoy staying on the road, but, you know, who knows?"
