Chrissy Teigen Live-Tweeted an Earthquake: "Bali. Trembling. So Long."
The Cravings author was on vacation when the earthquake struck the Indonesian resort islands Lombok and Bali.
Chrissy Teigen's family trip to Bali looked amazing, as far as summer vacations go. But things took a turn for the worse when an earthquake hit the tropical paradise. And as she waited out the trembles, Teigen attempted to stay calm by engaging in one of her favorite hobbies: tweeting.
The Cravings author took followers through the nightmarish ordeal by live-tweeting details of the earthquake as they were happening. First, an August 5 tweet simply said: "Oh my God." In a follow-up tweet, she explained: "Bali. Trembling. So long." Take a look at the rest of the tweets, which manage to display a bit of humor despite the fear:
According to NBC News, the death toll from the earthquake that struck the Indonesian resort islands of Lombok and Bali rose to 98 as of Monday, August 6. Around 230 people were reportedly seriously injured and 20,000 people were in temporary shelters, and thousands of buildings collapsed or were badly damaged.
