The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member recently came out as a lesbian, writing, “It feels so good to finally be living my truth. I am a lesbian. At 43 years old, I’ve finally been able to access this part of myself and I’ve realized there are no rules about when someone should come out. This is my time.” During an interview with GLAAD, Braunwyn explained that she is “in uncharted territory,” as she is currently navigating her new relationship and her marriage with husband Sean Burke.
“Sean and I are still married. I plan on staying married… We’re raising kids together. He’s my best friend. He knows the girl I’m dating,” she explained. “Her name is Kris. I mean, we go to parties together! She came over the other night, hung out with the family, had dinner with us. I mean, it’s only as weird as you make it.”
In an Instagram Story shared on December 2, Braunwyn shared a glimpse at her relationship as the couple enjoyed some time together in nature. She shared a selfie with a woman The Daily Dish has confirmed is Kris, and added the pride flag emoji and some sweet hearts to the photo.
Since coming out publicly, Braunwyn has received support from Sean, and plenty of her fellow Bravolebs.
"I love you. I'm proud of you. And I support you. Always," Sean wrote in a tweet. "For over 25 years I have loved and supported you, and I'm not about to stop."
