Ariana Madix Has a Surprising Update on Tom Sandoval’s Friendship with Katie Maloney
Sandoval and Ariana also commented on what’s really going on between Schwartz and his female roommate, and they revealed when they think he will start dating again.
When Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz announced their separation in the spring of 2022, some Vanderpump Rules fans wondered if the split would throw a wrench into Katie’s plans to launch a sandwich shop with Ariana Madix.
After all, Schwartz is business partners with Ariana’s boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, who also got into quite a few disagreements with Katie when he was opening Schwartz & Sandy’s with her now-ex.
Sandoval himself said he’s in a “really good place” with Katie when he appeared on the February 8 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, but does Ariana agree with that statement?
During the couple’s BravoTV.com Q&A with fans, Ariana revealed whether she thinks it’s “hard” to work on the Something About Her sandwich shop concept when Katie and Sandoval aren’t getting along.
“I think that Tom respects my business relationship with Katie,” Ariana said. “And even though they don’t get along sometimes, they do really care about each other!”
Sandoval and Katie are in a better place, but his loyalty will always lie with his best friend, Schwartz. In the Q&A, Sandoval revealed whether he thinks his pal and business partner is ready to start dating again after his divorce.
“I think Schwartz has moved on from the idea of Katie. I know he still loves her, for sure,” Sandoval said. “As far as dating goes, I know he’s just not into the idea of getting into any sort of relationship right now. He’s chilling right now.”
Though Sandoval and Schwartz have maintained that the latter isn’t ready to date yet, fans are still speculating about his personal life. From his make-out with Raquel (which viewers can see on the Season 10 trailer) to the shocking revelation that he had a female roommate named Jo Wenberg, Schwartz’s romantic life has been raising some eyebrows lately.
Schwartz told Us Weekly that the two were “not living together” anymore and “not dating either.” Sandoval agreed that nothing is going on romantically between Schwartz and Jo.
“I don’t know, they’re good friends,” Sandoval added about Jo. “She’s super cool and super chill.”
