Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi Says She'll Let Her Baby Have Playdates with Mercedes "MJ" Javid's Child
The Shahs of Sunset mom-to-be reflected on MJ's drama with Reza Farahan.
Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi and Mercedes "MJ" Javid's relationship has seen its fair share of ups and downs over the past eight seasons of Shahs of Sunset. But following the birth of MJ's son Shams in 2019, and GG expecting her little boy to arrive this spring, the Shahs of Sunset ladies may be able to finally find some common ground over motherhood.
During an interview with The Daily Dish in New York City on February 24, GG shared that MJ has reached out to her, offering to get together and give her advice as she prepares to welcome her first child. Though GG said that she's not quite ready to hear what she has to say just yet, she also wouldn't deny her future son, Elijah, from having a friend in MJ's son Shams. "I just want to see a change in her before I make that move of myself being around her," GG told The Daily Dish. "If not, my nanny can take the baby to go play with her child, and that'll be about it."
MJ previously shared with The Daily Dish how happy she was that she and GG would be going through the first years of motherhood together. "I really am excited for Golnesa to be a mom and I'm so glad that we're doing it at the same time," MJ said during an interview in mid-February. "And I know that she's going to be a great example to inspire other women for doing it on her own."
When it comes to MJ's strained relationship with Reza Farahan this season of Shahs of Sunset, GG said that she "went through a whole fluctuation of thoughts" about their conflict. "If you knew me, you know I'm not the type of person to pick sides. I'm on my own side, and I play for my own team," GG said before admitting that she found herself growing closer to Reza during this time.
However, GG noted that MJ and Reza's drama is not so black-and-white. "It's messy," she said. "It's definitely messy."
