Paige DeSorbo Shares Chic, Comfy Loungewear Fashion Inspo
While staying home, the Summer House fashionista is trying to maintain a sense of normalcy with glamorous, affordable loungewear.
BravoTV.com asked the always-fashionable Paige DeSorbo from Summer House to show us how she stays chic and comfy while practicing social distancing at home.
I have always and will continue to believe that age-old proverb (OK, I don’t actually know if it’s a proverb but... ) : “If you look good you feel good!" After all the binge-watching is over, my closet organization is complete, and my 25-step skincare routine is in place, I’m ready to start acting like my old self, and we all know that means changing my outfit three times a day!
While continuing to practice social distancing at home and trying not to eat all my self-quarantine snacks in one sitting, I have devised a plan on how to not go crazy and continue to make things feel as normal as possible. Before “staying in” got a glow up and became “social distancing,” my normal routine would usually consist of three outfits daily:
1. My morning outfit: a cute matching workout set that sometimes lasted all day and into the night with no gym in sight. OK, let's face it, that was every day but for the sake of my article, let's call this my morning outfit.
2. My day time outfit: This used to be a great pair of jeans, the cutest shoes you’ve ever seen, and most likely a bodysuit and an oversized blazer. Outfits to me are my religion, so you can imagine how odd I’ve felt the past two weeks wallowing in the same T-shirt from high school and fuzzy socks my mom swears by. Let me tell you, she is on to something with those socks, but that’s for a different article.
3. My night time outfit: This outfit was by far my favorite of the three. It consisted of things like leather pants, blazer dresses, heels higher than my standards, and a mini bag large enough for a Tic Tac and eyelash glue, just in case.
Today, my outfits are very different. I don’t mean to make light of what's going on in our world because so many people are truly struggling and it's heartbreaking to watch our world be in such disarray. My goal for this article is to let you escape your reality and be entertained, if only for a few seconds. The only way I know how to do that is by adding things to my shopping cart!
Since the structure of our days is a little bit crazy, I have some tips to keep them as normal as possible with outfit inspo!
1. Morning time
Wake up and throw that workout set on. So many of my favorite workouts are offering Instagram Live free streaming workouts daily and already have streaming platforms. Take some time for yourself each day, and try one of these. My current favorite is P.VOLVE. My workout set is from ALALA but I have linked some other options with an affordable price tag.
On Paige: ALALA wavy tight ($110), ALALA wavy bra ($75)
Similar: Fabletics stone 2-piece outfit (from $59.95)
2. Work from home
Next, my actual work from home outfit. Working from home is not that different from what I normally do: Answering emails, having phone calls all day, and attempting to eat healthy (which always turns into a big failure). I digress on my eating habits, let's get back to my outfit. My work from home loungewear set is from Nasty Gal. It's comfy enough to wear as I sit at the kitchen table sending responses to unanswered emails, but stylish enough that I feel put-together and dressed appropriately to answer a Zoom call while my mom yells to my dog in the background. I've linked some other great WFH loungewear sets that are on their way to me as we speak.
On Paige: Nasty Gal slow down sweater and joggers lounge set (ON SALE for $40)
Similar: ASOS DESIGN petit exclusive lounge 3 piece set cami pants and cardigan ($87), M Lounge shorts in fluffy knit two piece ($51)
3. Night time
Finally, my wind-down outfit. After my work day is over, I like to change my outfit so I can feel like it's actually post-work hours. My body and mind can now start to get into a nighttime routine. I change into another Nasty Gal set, (mine is currently sold out, but here is a similar one). Cue my extensive skincare routine and popcorn for a movie. I have linked some very cute pajama sets that will make you stop walking around in that ripped T-shirt you constantly wear just because it’s soft.
On Paige: Nasty Gal pink one shoulder sweater and shorts set (SOLD OUT)
Similar: Nasty Gal knit happens sweater and shorts set (ON SALE for $30)
Pajama Sets: Pretty Little Thing grey striped button up long PJ set ($38), Nasty Gal it was all a dream embroidered pajama pants set (ON SALE for $30)
This is a scary time for everyone, but things will eventually get better and go back to normal. I hope some of my outfit inspo helps!
XOXO,
Paige DeSorbo
