These Are the Only Gloves and Mittens You Need to Get Through This Winter
You'll want to grab more than one.
Winter is here and for most of the country, that means super cold weather for the next few months. The key to being comfortable in the cold is having the right gear to keep you warm. And in my book, one of the most important parts of your body to keep warm is your hands.
There are so many styles of gloves and mittens to choose from. Some are focused on function — as in gloves made to keep out even the coldest of cold air — and others are focused on form — as in a fashion accessory that also provides protection. We’ve rounded up a variety of options in nine different categories. My advice: you’ll want more than one pair so you’re ready for whatever Mother Nature has in store!
1. Tech Gloves
The tech-friendly thumb and index finger mean you can text, take photos, and keep up with all of your social media while your hands stay warm. The gloves are made of lambskin with a warm fleece lining.
2. Cozy Mittens
Acrylic fur lining, water resistant shell, and elasticized wrist ensure your hands will stay dry and toasty in this mittens.
3. Long Suede Gloves
There is something so effortlessly chic about long gloves. And when they’re made out of supple goatskin suede — even better!
4. Convertible Mittens
Made of wool blend, these are a great choice if you like to have options. Wear the mitten top on when you’re out in the cold but then flip it back if you need to use your fingers. A small Velcro patch holds the top flap in place when it’s not in use.
7. Fingerless Gloves
These are a great option if you need to have use of your fingers but still want to keep your hands as warm as possible. Made of 100 percent lambs wool, the gloves are insulated and have a leather patch on the palm to provide a better grip.
8. Classic Leather Gloves
For a look that will never go out of style, pick up a pair of these sheepskin gloves. They’re lined with silk which makes them really comfortable and come in six great colors.
9. Unlined Gloves
If you prefer a sleek, un-bulky feel, these Isotoners are what you’ll want. The thin spandex and Lycra blend hugs your hand and fingers, the leather strips provide a good grip, and the fabric is water repellant
