Taraji P. Henson Just Got a Bangin' New Haircut

Taraji P. Henson's about to kick some butt in her new action movie Proud Mary — and the hairstyle she's been wearing promote the film looks pretty fierce too. Henson stepped out recently with a blunt, shoulder-length lob with a matching set of blunt bangs. 

These are bang bangs — no wispy, sideswept bangs here. But the look definitely suits the Empire star, even though she can obviously pull off any hair style.

If you're looking to copy Henson's precisely cut bangs and sleek lob, Henson's long-time hairstylist Tym Wallace posted step-by-step instructions on Instagram. First, he breaks down Henson's color, writing that he added "soft hues of chocolate brown and peanut butter tones."  

Then Wallace described exactly how to style this cut at home. "Important tip: Apply a dime-sized amount of @cremeofnature's Argan Oil from Morocco Blow Out Creme to hair which protects hair from 450 degrees of heat," Wallace wrote. "Section it off before applying heat. Finish with Creme of Nature Argan Oil Perfect Edges Hair Gel to achieve this fearless and fierce look!"

Now that's action hero hair.
