Kris Jenner Had Surgery to Fix Saggy Earlobes, But That's Not the Only Way
"All I want is just cute ears."
Lisa Vanderpump isn't the only celeb giving her ears a little makeover. Kris Jenner revealed on this week's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she became so obsessed with her earlobes, she underwent surgery for an earlobe reduction. Like Chrissy Teigen's armpit liposuction, this is another cosmetic procedure we didn't even realize existed.
"All I want is just cute ears," Jenner told her daughters during the episode as she modeled turbans, ear muffs, hair extensions, and other methods to hide her ears.
"Ever since Kim made a comment about my ears, I've always wondered," she said in an interview. "And now I'm looking in the mirror obsessively, wondering, are they too big? What was she talking about? But I think that the decision to do something about my ever-changing ears is suddenly a priority."
Enter plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond, who posted on Instagram about Kris's visit to his office.
"My earlobes are out of control," Jenner told the Dr. Diamond during the show, and he reassured her that the surgical earlobe reduction would only take 30 minutes and three days to heal, with the end result result of looking five years younger. "It's a common saying," Dr. Diamond said. "As we get older, our noses and our ears grow."
By the end of the episode, Jenner says: "I love my ears, and not one of my kids can ever sing that song, 'Do your ears hang low, do they wobble to and fro."
Jenner's earlobe procedure looked fairly easy: she stayed awake during the whole thing. But surgery isn't the only way to deal with droopy earlobes. Vogue reports that dermatologists are using hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane to plump up lobes. This might not work for lobes stretched out due to years and years of wearing heavy earrings. But fillers could even help prevent problems and provide extra cushion for dangling statement earrings.
