See Jessica Biel's New Blonde Hair That Was 6 Months in the Making

It turns out Jessica Biel's been planning to go blonde for months, but on Tuesday, she just went for it with a big color change — and a "rock 'n roll"-inspired haircut. That's how Biel's hairstylist Adir Abergel described the cut to Us Weekly, noting that he and celeb colorist Tracey Cunningham have been working for six months to transition the actress from brunette to blonde without any damage. 

“I wanted to go a bit more rock ’n roll, and make it into a long shag with face framing layers,” he said. “We have been growing out her bangs to have them blend into the haircut, so I wanted to soften the ends of the bangs to make them a lot more wispy and shaggy with piecey layers all around.”

The honey-blonde color change itself sounds spontaneous, though. Cunningham wrote on Instagram: "Last night [Biel] wanted to go really blonde! We only had an hour to do her! I felt like I was on a game show, and I had to beat the clock. It took me 1 hour and 15, while Kat was diffusing the ends and I was pulling highlights." 

That hustle paid off, because Biel looks like the quintessential beachy blonde. Biel's husband Justin Timberlake wrote the sweetest comment on Abergel's Instagram about Biel's hair transformation too: "My boo thang looks goooood!"
