Drew Barrymore Recreated Her Childhood Style and We're Actually Pretty Into It

It's so '80s, in the best way.

Drew Barrymore Plays Plead the Fifth!

We've all seen a million magazine covers, but we've never seen a magazine channel #ThrowbackThursday quite like this. For the February issue of InStyle, Drew Barrymore dressed up in almost exact replicas of the very '80s outfits she wore back in her child star days — and she looks just as adorable now at age 43 as she did then.

"I am thrilled to share with you Grown-Up Drew’s interpretation of Little Drew’s style," InStyle EIC Laura Brown wrote on Instagram in her caption. Just scroll through to see how Drew nailed this idea, right down to the pink bucket hat. We kind of want to steal these outfits too.

This might just be the perfect cover shoot idea for Barrymore. “When I was 6, my mom dressed me like a little 80-year-old woman,” she explained to InStyle in the cover article. “I’ve grown and changed and evolved throughout the years, but I’m not, in spirit, that different from the kid in the pictures wearing giant poufy dresses. I just had a lot of rebellion that had to calm down. But it did.”

But as cool as these #TBT images are, the actress-turned-designer proved she's a modern fashion icon too. The newsstand cover of the magazine shows Barrymore's very 2017 style in a Celine sequin turtleneck dress and the bounciest of high ponytails.
