All About the Celeb-Favorite Club Where Meghan Markle Celebrated Her Bachelorette

Soho Farmhouse has long been popular, but the royal-to-be sealed its fate as the stars' official It-getaway.

Meghan Markle Has to Follow All of These Intimidating New Etiquette Rules

By Rachel Jones

The Soho House is a worldwide chain of private clubs for which members pay a fee for access — most recently in the range of $2,000 to $3,000 per year, depending on city or cities of choice. The clubs are located in such cosmopolitan cities around the world as Los Angeles, London, and Istanbul — so when celebs travel, they can pop into a Soho House at their destination have private working days or boozy nights with other fancy people.

The outpost known as Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire is where Megan Markle chose to have her bachelorette party (or "hen-do," as they call it across the pond): a laid-back luxury spa day with her girlfriends.

While her stay was private and not on social media, just a couple weekends later, Instagram was blowing up with images from a group of celebs who stayed there — which afforded a better glimpse into the inside of the space for mere mortals.

Jen Atkin (who is known for doing Kim Kardashian's hair for years) booked the place out for her hubby Mike Rosenthal's birthday — and the celebs in attendance varied from Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson to Kim K's ex-assistant Stephanie Shepherd.

As Jen put it: "The only way to let your hubby know you love him is to basically try to throw a Kris Jenner quality party in the English countryside for his 40th." Scroll through her Instagram album to see the candle-lit dinners, group horseback riding, and cooking classes she lined up.

While Soho House is billed as a member's only "hotel," guests are permitted to share images from their stays.

The 100-acre club has 40 cabins, a seven-bedroom home, and a four-bedroom cottage. And if you stay there and fall in love with the perfectly thought-out interiors, you can also actually just buy what you see: The staff will order you the same thing and send it right to your home.
