Someone Tried 100 Layers of Korean Bubble Mask and It Might Give You Nightmares
Prepare to be either horrified or unable to stop laughing.
Taking a page from last year’s 100-layer challenges that overtook the YouTube beauty community, Swedish vlogger Jeely truly went for it by applying 100 coats of Korean bubble mask to her face. You may remember this vlogger as the woman who applied 100 layers of mascara, 100 layers of charcoal mask, and 100 layers of foundation, the lattermost video resulting in a unison, “Ick!” from everyone who watched it. It makes perfect sense that she committed to one-upping herself on the year anniversary of that first 100-layers video.
We must point out that one solitary coat of bubble mask can quickly spiral out of control, resulting in grotesque, but hilarious, transformations. Case in point: Reddit user ZeApollo’s “I’m a cloud…It won’t stop” image that went viral last month:
If a single layer results in the above, surely Jeely would be completely absorbed into a lumpy, puffy cloud never to re-emerge, right? Spoiler alert! She survived, but heed this warning: watching this video to the end may require you to keep the lights on when you go to bed tonight.
In the end, the experiment required three tubs of Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask. Though disastrously messy and truly unsettling, her skin probably feels amazing thanks to all that oxygen action.
This beauty experiment may have gone wrong, but The Lookbook Trend Testers are helping to make sure you get it right. Watch the trailer for the new digital series up above, and look out for new episodes coming Tuesdays this summer.
