Céline Dion Eating Fries in Haute Couture is Our Spirit Animal
Céline adds her touch to Parisian couture.
For the past 20 years, iconic songstress Céline Dion has served as a major source of fashion inspiration to many. However, 2017 is proving to be one of her best style years yet.
First, there was the one-of-a-kind Versace gown, which she donned for the notorious Met Gala. Then, she stunned us all with a white Stephan Rolland Haute Couture gown, which she wore to the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. And earlier this month, Céline absolutely slayed Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week wearing fabulous prints accompanied by chic poses that would give any supermodel a run for their money. Now, the star has teamed up with Vogue for a video showing us all that there is certainly room for fun in haute couture fashion.
The video, directed by Gordon von Steiner begins with the singer seated at a vanity awaiting to be fitted for a headpiece to go with her ballerina pink Giambattista Valli gown. “People thought they know me. People thought they saw me. Nothin’ yet,” she sings.
Throughout the two-minute video the singer takes you through the city of Paris modeling some of the best couture pieces from the shows this past month. She travels through the Parisian streets dancing and skipping away and even appears at a restaurant where she munches on a fry. (Because what else would someone wearing an haute couture gown in Paris munch on?) Which also reminds us of her late-night hot dog after the Met Gala, proving that this singer isn't afraid to get a little messy even in haute couture.
Ultimately, Céline's endearing performance will allow you to see couture fashion in a new light. It certainly left us wanting an encore.
