During the Summer House After Show on Thursday, May 9, Kyle further discussed the potential career pivot that he first shared during Season 8, Episode 12 of Summer House. Naturally, his wife Amanda Batula also had something to say about his new passion.

"So, now I'm the wife of a DJ," Amanda told Danielle Olivera on the Summer House After Show. "I mean, Kyle's always loved music. He loves his speakers. Only Kyle can play the music in the house. So, this man is so adorable. He goes every Sunday to take lessons in New Jersey. He bought all the equipment. Sometimes I'll make dinner and we'll eat and he'll be like 'I'm going to go practice DJ-ing for a while."

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula Have Different Feelings About Their Current Living Situation

Although Amanda loves seeing her man so passionate about something, she still thinks he may be in crisis mode. Even so, she'll stand by his side.

"It's for sure giving midlife crisis, but I'm being as supportive of it as I can," she said.

Except ... there is one situation where she won't be tagging along on his journey.

"If he starts playing festivals, I'm so out," Amanda added.

Kyle Cooke's DJ Career

For a bit of background, During Season 8, Episode 12, Kyle and Amanda get into an argument about how stress is divided in their company, Loverboy. Kyle storms out of the house before being confronted by Danielle and Carl Radke by the pool.

"She wants to have a passion project? She wants to have purpose? Okay, cool. You know what I want? I want to be a DJ," he says. "I want to be a f-cking DJ."

During the After Show, he shared more insight into his choice — and what happened after he made the decision.

"Amanda's like, 'You want to be a DJ? Be a DJ,'" he shared. "I'm like, 'I have zero spare time. But you know what? I'm going to pursue this passion. I've always been the guy playing music."

Carl concurred, noting that the day he picked Kyle up to film Season 1 Episode 1, he had a huge speaker in tow.

"I want to not only DJ, I want to produce music. I had a very musical upbringing. I played instruments. I haven't done anything for me and only me in a long time and it was my New Year's resolution to do something for me. What's at the top of the list? DJ and produce music," adds Kyle.

The Summer House Cast Reacts to Kyle Cooke's DJ Career

During the After Show, other cast members chimed in on Kyle's proclamation.

"Immediate ick," joked Paige DeSorbo.

Ciara Miller agreed, noting, "If a man ever told me he wanted to be a DJ — Amanda, I know you love him, we're not questioning that — but I can't. Not with a DJ."

Carl was a bit more supportive, and even sees a future where Kyle can combine all his passions into one successful career: "I think him going toward the music thing, it can play well into the Loverboy business if it's done right. Alcohol and music ... social experiences and fun ... that's all part of it. I give him a lot of credit for going after that."
