Was Kyle Richards Surprised When Paris Hilton Called Off Her Engagement?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal weighed in on her famous niece's breakup from Chris Zylka.
When Paris Hilton got engaged to actor Chris Zylka last year, her aunt Kyle Richards reacted with surprise. Reflecting on the 2018 engagement — which happened during a family trip — Kyle told Personal Space: "We were all in Aspen together, and I was with Paris and my daughters and we were all there together, and I had no idea it was coming." Still, Kyle was undeniably happy for her niece, and added: "[Paris] has really great role models as parents. So I think she's gonna do just fine."
By now, we know that Hilton and Zylka ultimately called off their engagement, and Paris is reportedly ready to date again. So, how did Kyle react to this twist in the couple's love story? Now we have an answer.
When The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on February 7, a caller asked Kyle what her response was when she'd learned of the breakup, and whether or not she was surprised. "Umm, not really, no," Kyle said. "She was very happy when she got engaged, but I wasn't surprised. She's so busy, it's really hard to be in a relationship when she lives in a plane, traveling everywhere!"
