We Just Figured Out the Top Secret Project Jax Taylor Is Doing With Taco Bell
We're not detectives, but we have a pretty good nose for the commingling aromas of Vanderpump Rules and Taco Bell.
Jax Taylor — widely known as a great lover of Taco Bell — teased this week in a tweet that he's actually working for the brand in some capacity now. But in what capacity? Jax didn't reveal — saying simply that he was working on a Laguna Beach set for Taco Bell, and that fans should "stay tuned" for more details. (And that it's legit a "dream job.")
Look, we're no professional detectives. But around here at The Feast we have a prettty strong nose for even the faintest whiffs of Vanderpump Rules and tacos...
Today, I received an email containing a media release for Taco Bell — specifically, announcing the new "Taco Bell Party Packs," a customizable selection of 12 soft and crunchy tacos, in a to-go carton for pick-up or delivery. Launching on October 18 at Taco Bell restaurants and through GrubHub, Taco Bell Party Packs are specifically meant to be shared by a group of friends over TV parties, holiday gatherings, whatever.
Behold la fiesta in a box:
Hmm... isn't that exactly how Jax and the #PumpRules crew get their viewing parties on?
So, Intrepid Food Journalist that I am, I asked the publicist by email if this latest news might have anything to do with the Jax/Taco Bell story already on our radar. Wouldn't you know? He couldn't confirm... but there was a glaring lack of denial too! And an exchange of suggestive emojis! And another invitation to "stay tuned for more news soon."
So, I think it's safe to say I nailed it, guys. Jax Taylor is the new Taco Bell Party Packs pitch man. And my work here is done!
You're welcome.
