Stassi Schroeder Just Turned Her Favorite Fashion Hashtag into a National Holiday
"Some might say I'm obsessed with my OOTD ... and they'd be right," the Vanderpump Rules fashionista explained.
Stassi Schroeder is trying to start a national movement. The Vanderpump Rules beauty just commandeered a date on the calendar and created her own unique holiday to go along with her favorite fashion hashtag: #OOTD or "outfit of the day." Even Stassi is surprised by this. "Holy sh--! I founded a freaking national holiday," Stassi wrote on Instagram along with the framed proclamation (while wearing a fun look, naturally). "You know I love my #OOTD’s and now I want to see all of ya’lls. June 30th is hereby #nationalOOTDday — I want everyone to celebrate their individuality and be proud of their unique style!"
That's a major commitment to personal style! Stassi linked to a new website she created called NationalOOTDDay.com, and explained her thinking a bit more: "I have always been into fashion and I've been obsessed with documenting my outfits since before OOTDs existed — for realsies!! I believe that style is artistic and that expressing yourself with your outfit directly affects your inner self-confidence," she wrote on the site. "When you have a great outfit on, your day is that much better, and in my opinion, you should honor that feeling with an OOTD!"
So by that thinking, June 30 should be a great day for everyone — or at least a cute outfit day. "It's the day to give yourself those extra few minutes in the morning to dress with confidence in mind, snap a sassy OOTD, and POST IT to share with your friends," Stassi wrote. "Because even if you don't have your shit together, dressing like you have your sh-- together makes you feel like you have your sh-- together."
