Now We Know Where Top Chef Is Going for This Season’s Finale — And It’s Going to Be… "Eye Opening"
Bravo's Top Chef Season 16 will start in Kentucky, but end in...
We already knew that Bravo's Top Chef would be heading to Kentucky for Season 16, when it premieres Thursday, December 6 at 9/8c. But now we have your first look at all the action — see what's about to go down on Top Chef Kentucky in the clip above!
A fresh crop of 15 talented chefs from across the country will begin the competition in Louisville, Lexington, and Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, all looking to be crowned Top Chef — but where on earth will the lucky finalists vie for the big prize? Well, now we know that too: The final four will head to Macau, China.
For his part, judge Graham Elliot is thrilled with the destination.
"I have a restaurant in Macao, at the MGM Cotai, and to be out there to showcase some of the food and the culture with the rest of the crew and also the cast, Tom and Padma — it’s really magical," he told The Feast last night at PaleyFest NY 2018 — where a Top Chef panel included Graham, Padma, Tom, Gail, Season 4 Winner Stephanie Izard, and Season 15 winner and Joe Flamm. "I think it’s gonna be really eye-opening for a lot of people that are watching."
He also told The Feast that the Kentucky location is going to be "amazing" overall.
He said, "Every season is different because of where we’re at — the food, the culture, the people. And this one’s really amazing. I think it’s a great blend of what’s going on right now in the country. But also, you have the outdoors, you’ve got the rolling hills, the horse culture, bourbon, and also the city of Louisville. It's been great!"
