Padma Lakshmi Has Landed in Kentucky to Start Filming Top Chef — and Here’s What She Ate First
Naturally, the host of Bravo's Top Chef headed straight to the most decadent barbecue spot she could find.
Padma Lakshmi has just arrived to Kentucky, home of the next edition of Bravo's Top Chef. And although Padma's said she tends to gain an average of 10 to 15 pounds per season — she's also said she's content to just own that reality. To that end, after touchdown she headed straight for an epic meal in Louisville to kick her trip off right... at a barbecue joint. And that seems only appropriate!
She headed to Feast BBQ and ordered a table full of delights, including loaded tater tots, pork cakes, ribs — and a salad for moderation, she joked. She documented the meal — where we'd have loved to be dining alongside her, we might add — on Instagram, including a slo-mo tribute to the food soundtracked by D'Angelo's sexy song "Brown Sugar." (Genius.)
The side dishes alone looked like enough for a full meal — check out those loaded "totz."
The most unusual item on the table turned out to be a clear favorite that she dedicated a whole post to: pork cakes, washed down with a cold bourbon slushie.
Oh, and if you know the area... Padma's looking for more restaurant and activity recommendations in Kentucky, if you've got some to share.
